Changes by David Bowie

I am so buzzing with positive anabolic energy that I was up most of the night cleaning my office and reaching out to clients I’ve been meaning to reconnect with for a while. What’s inspiring this jolt of energy?

Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes!

While spending the week in Sedona, Arizona, with the amazing Kendra Thornbury I fully connected with my vision for empowering women to:

  • Become so comfortable with their bodies that they want to freely have sex with their partners instead of hiding out under the covers.
  • Feel confident in a swimsuit so they eek out every ounce of fun with family and friends beach- or poolside.
  • Let go of body shame once and for all.

Cleaning my office was literally making space for a revolutionary new coaching program that will take women step-by-step to feeling lean and sexy on the inside so they can be lean and sexy on the outside.

Let’s face it, there’s a lot of advice out there telling women to just look in the mirror and tell themselves, “I love you.” But to many women that just feels like a big fat lie.

Everything I will be doing—a new website and blog, a breakthrough coaching program, speaking engagements, and intensive retreats will be targeted to help women go from feeling fat to fabulous.

Join me on this exciting new journey and begin to embrace the lean and sexy goddess within.

Does This Blog Make Me Look Thin?

While off celebrating my 20th anniversary, I’m sharing a few of my favorite blogs that you might have missed.

Have you ever lost weight, but after you met your goal you still felt fat? When you looked in the mirror, all you saw were the flaws?

How quickly did you gain back the weight?

Our thoughts and feelings are much more powerful than most people understand. When you take into account the Foundation Principle that “Energy Attracts Like Energy,” also known as the Law of Attraction, you begin to understand that how you see yourself and where you put your focus can make a difference in how well you maintain your weight loss.

To truly be a lean, strong, and fit person, it’s incredibly helpful to see yourself as a lean, strong, and fit person—at least most of the time.

One of the reasons is that when you feel thin you begin to take on the behavioral characteristics of someone who is thin.

For instance, how much easier is it to resist those chocolate chip cookies if you are feeling confident and excited about being lean, strong, and fit versus seeing yourself as fat with no hope of ever having a beautiful body?

Most people see themselves through filters of self-criticism, limiting beliefs, assumptions about past experiences repeating themselves, and self-created interpretations about their lives.

Diet and exercise alone doesn’t alter those self-perceptions. Those changes have to come from the inside out.

Removing those negative, catabolic filters and shifting your self-perception so you can truly see yourself living the life you want takes time, energy, and practice, just as creating a healthy lifestyle takes time, energy, and practice.

When you practice both the internal and external changes you begin consciously creating the life of your dreams.

How can you practice feeling thin, along with healthy eating and moving your body? How much more effective is that at helping you lose weight–and keep it off?

I Feel Skinny!

I have a friend who jokes that when she catches sight of her rear-end in the bathroom mirror that she reminds herself that she has great hair.

While this got a laugh during a recent group lunch, she’s actually onto something.

When you consider the foundation principle that “Energy Attracts Like Energy,” also known as the Law of Attraction, it becomes clear that focusing on the problem truly just creates more of the problem.

A subtle mental shift towards something you appreciate is a powerful way to shift the negative catabolic energy generated by looking in the mirror and feeling miserable about what you see.

You will know that you’ve successfully made the shift to a more positive anabolic place when you experience a feeling of genuine appreciation for another part of your body.

A woman I am working with used this technique during her journey to lose 40 pounds. Whenever she caught sight of her stomach, which she judged fat and unattractive, she would quickly shift her focus to appreciating her lean and muscular legs.

I used a similar technique on my own weight-loss journey. Whenever I was conscious of my body, I would turn the song “I Feel Pretty” from the Broadway play, West Side Story, into “I Feel Skinny,” and would play it loudly in my head, letting myself truly feel it.

When you look in the mirror, do you love or hate what you see? What can you do to focus more on what you love?

Imagine the impact that positive anabolic energy is having on your body and overall wellness.
