Wellness Tip of the Day: Look for and appreciate those moments of synchronicity, coincidence, happenstance, miracle, chance, luck. They are gifts. Receive them.
Thank You! More Please!
I don’t believe in coincidence.
To me, those moments of synchronicity, happenstance, miracle, chance, and luck are gifts from All-That-Is (God, the Universe, Source Energy, Higher Coach—whatever works for you) that we open the vibrational-door wide enough to receive.
One of those moments fell into my lap as I sat down to write today’s blog and was wondering what I would focus on in a short amount of time as we have family coming in today and there is lots on my to-do list.
Having just finished my workout and eaten my breakfast, I made my way into my office with my steaming cup of lemon-green tea and fired up my computer. As always, I checked my emails first, and there was one from Abraham-Hicks, one of my favorite spiritual teachers, offering a free preview of the first 10 minutes of a workshop, so I clicked on the link.
Not having read the fine print, what I didn’t realize was that the offer was to see the first minutes of a live workshop and once those 10 minutes were over the channel would be taken down. I just “happened” to click on the link just as Abraham welcomed the workshop participants—live and in real time. My timing could not have been more perfect!
And the words that I heard in those 10 minutes were a direct answer to a question I’d been rolling around my mind for the past couple of days.
What a beautiful gift that I appreciate to my core!
Those types of gifts are coming to us frequently, but often we are so distracted, overwhelmed, and disconnected that we don’t recognize them for what they are and we literally do not receive them. They can range from the simple to the profound.
For instance, just a few days ago, my husband and I were driving along and we saw a groundhog foraging on the side of the road. It was so fun to see this cute creature and I exclaimed out loud, “I love groundhogs!” The next day we were eating dinner and a groundhog came through the fence into our backyard and stood on a wall about four-feet from our window. He just stood motionless right in front of us for a good five minutes.
It was as if the Universe was giving me the gift of an uninterrupted view of this adorable creature so that I could have more of something that I love.
And just yesterday, a friend who is a single-mother who was having significant financial problems won over $100,000 in the state lottery. While this was certainly a profound gift for her, it was also a gift for me on so many levels, but primarily it was a blatant reminder not to tie God’s hands in the myriad of ways prayers can be answered. It’s our job to ask for what we want and let go of “how” the answer or solution may come.
One of the things that I was opened to this week was when we become aware of those gifts from the Universe to not only fill our hearts with appreciation, but to joyfully ask how this moment can get even better. And then to watch as more examples of joy, abundance, and love fill our lives.
There is no end to the gifts that Source Energy wants to bring us. The better life gets, the better it can get.
You can bet that after my fabulous experience this morning, I’m not only saying, “Thank You!” but I’m asking, “What other wondrous things can I experience today?”
What can you do to reframe how you see those moments of synchronicity, coincidence, happenstance, miracle, chance, and luck and begin to see them as gifts from All-That-Is? How does that change how you receive those experiences? And with gratitude and appreciation in your heart, what can you do to remember to joyfully ask how the experience could get even better, and watch for the miracles to unfold?
Together we can do it!

What Did You Choose?
Often people think, “When I lose weight, get a better job, get past this stressful event, have a more supportive partner, etc., then I can be the person I am meant to be.”
But if we spend all of our time waiting for the people, events, and situations of our lives to change, we will always be waiting to take flight, live up to our potential, and live the life of our dreams.
What has to change is you. What has to change is how you think about yourself, what you deserve, and what you are capable of. And the change has to begin right now, right where you are.
What are the values you hold most dear? What is your relationship to All-That-Is (God, Source, the Universe, Higher Coach—whatever works for you)? What are your priorities in life? What are your gifts and talents?
Does being overweight change Who that person is? Does being in a job or situation or relationship that you don’t enjoy?
No matter what you are going through, you are no less valuable as a person.
How well are you showing up in how you wash the dishes? In your employment? In how you relate to a stranger? In how you relate to the person you love the most? Is it consistent? Are you being who you want to be? Are you being Who you truly are?
If not, what small thing can you do today to show up in all aspects of your life as Who you truly are? What difference does that make in your experience? What difference does that make to the people around you?
Use each moment to remember who you truly are, and then choose to be that person.
Together we can do it!

Receive the Gifts in Every Experience
I am learning to embrace situations and experiences that I used to judge as things to be dreaded and endured. Shifting my perspective doesn’t change the situation, but it does change how I experience it.
The surgery that I underwent in December was one of those times. Last week, I had my final post-surgery doctor’s appointment were my stellar recovery was confirmed. I am so grateful for this step on my wellness journey. Truly, everything about that experience has enriched my life.
Heading to traffic court today is another example. I think I’ve mentioned in previous blogs that I was getting some obvious bonks on the head by the Universe reminding me to be present. Getting a speeding ticket a couple of weeks ago as I headed to coach training was one of those jolts back to reality.
I had set my cruise control to ensure I would stay within a reasonable speed . . . and then my brain checked out. When the officer brought me back to reality, I was no longer going a reasonable speed since it had changed twice without my notice. I thanked him for bringing me back to consciousness and was a much more present driver the rest of the trip. And have been much more conscious of being present since.
So today, I get to take the afternoon off from work, drive an hour there and back through our beautiful mountains on what is supposed to be a sun-soaked day, encounter people that I wouldn’t have otherwise gotten to meet, and look for the gifts in this experience. Because they are there if I will just open my eyes and my heart and look for them.
I expect to see those gifts and am looking for ways to be present and conscious enough to fully receive them.
When we stop fighting experiences and judging them as bad, and instead open our eyes and hearts to the gifts that are in every moment, we finally begin to receive them.
As Jerry Hicks used to say, “Everything is always working out for me.” No matter what, no matter who, no matter where, Source (God, the Universe, All That Is, Higher coach—whatever works for you) is always on our side providing the experiences that are unfolding perfectly for my—and your—expansion.
No matter what you are facing today, it is up to you to take this moment and consciously choose your focus and decide how you want to feel. You can endure it, let it crush you, or decide to thrive.
The experience will not change, but you change your experience of it.
Together we can do it!

A Time of Abundance
No matter where you are or what’s going on in your life today, look for and acknowledge your abundance.
Even if it’s that you have an abundance of air to breathe, an abundance of love in your heart, or an abundance of being alive in this moment.
These are things that do not cost money and that nobody else can give you. They are there waiting for you to receive—and acknowledge.
The magic of acknowledging your abundance is that the longer you focus on it, the more abundance in your life that you are able to see.
Perhaps you have an abundance of family and friends, or an abundance of time in which to reflect, or an abundance of beauty to admire. You may have an abundance of laughter and excitement, or an abundance of peace and quiet. You may have an abundance of parties and commitments, or an abundance of freedom to live and do as you wish.
While money and gifts can be a part of abundance, there is so much more of life with which to fill our trays. It’s all there waiting for us to look for and allow ourselves to see and receive.
What abundance can you find in your life right now? No matter what it is, acknowledge it and let your heart overflow with appreciation.
Together we can do it!

Wellness Tip of the Day

Wellness Tip of the Day: Today and every day, notice and give thanks for the abundance in your life. These gifts are all around waiting to be seen and appreciated.
Thank Yourself
Today is day 20 of my 21-day Gratitude Challenge. The assignment is to write a thank you note to myself for taking the time to stop and focus on all the little things for which I feel grateful.
My Dearest Hanna,
Thank you so much for making the commitment to focus on all the things you appreciate—not just for the past 20 days, but every day. Thank you for opening your heart to the gifts that are in this moment.
I am so grateful that you allowed this exercise to deepen your gratitude and awareness. To truly get that each moment is new—even though it appears through your limited senses exactly the same as the moment before. The clouds have shifted in the sky, never to have the same formation again. Each face on the planet has made a subtle shift reflecting who they are, where they have come from, and the thoughts they are thinking. Water is flowing, leaves are falling, birds, bugs, animals, and people are moving about. Each second is brand new.
I am so grateful for all the abundance that you see in the world. There is so much love, so many opportunities, so much joy, so much beauty, and so much gratitude that can be seen when you stop to look for it. Shifting your perspective from all the problems to all the gifts is truly a blessing for everyone. Thank you for appreciating this abundant planet.
I am so grateful for the shift you experienced in seeing others, your relationships, and yourself when you looked at them with eyes filled with love and appreciation. Each person is so incredibly unique and offers so much value to the world—even if they don’t know or believe it themselves. And this includes you.
I am so grateful that you took the time to share this journey with others so they might reflect on their own reasons to be grateful. Thank you for recognizing that touching another’s heart is an honor.
I am grateful that you connect all of this with All-That-Is and see the Divine in everyone and everything. Knowing—and acknowledging—that Source is the source of it all is the greatest gift.
You are so loved, adored, and appreciated!
