Very true – this is something I’m working on. I have a ways to go, but trying to let the housework go and enjoy my kids while they still want to spend time with me!

I think just the realization that I can’t do it all, nor should I feel like I have to. No one who visits really cares what my house looks like, so why should I? I do feel better when it’s cleaner, but someday I’ll have more time for it. For now, my kids are too important.

Good question! Maybe the need to control? Maybe the need to please others? Maybe the need to be the “perfect” mom/wife/friend? I wish more women could learn to let it go…it’s definitely a happier place to be.
