Every moment of every day you have the power to choose to stay where you are, or to move towards the person you want to be–the person you are meant to be.
There is no more perfect time than right now.
Look closely at what is holding you back from moving towards the best possible version of you. Is it fear? Is it the untrue ramblings of your Gremlin–that voice inside you that continually tells you what a loser you are? Is it a limiting belief, perhaps about how your life has to look before it is OK to take care of you? Or maybe it’s some other block?
A quick way to decide if what is holding you back is valid is to look at how it makes you feel. If you feel hopeful, eager, excited, or expanded, than what you are thinking is moving you towards the person you want to be. If what you are thinking makes you feel limited, less than, or inhibited in any way, then what you are thinking might as well be shackles holding you in place.
How might you soften your thinking, and thereby weaken the chains that bind you?
- You might do this by focusing on all the things you did do today that are moving you in the direction you want to go.
- You might do this by looking at other people who have succeeded, and strengthening your belief that you can do it, too.
- You might do this by appreciating all the good things you already have in your life.
- You might do this by looking for one small thing you can do today, and feeling good about that.
All you have to do is shift your thinking a tiny bit, and those binds begin to fall away. A feeling of relief lets you know you have succeeded.
